Brighton & Hove Albion – Liverpool
Brighton & Hove Albion hosts the champion Liverpool at the American Express in a match from the 10th round of the Premier League.
Brighton & Hove Albion approach this round from 16th place in the standings. The Seagulls have 9 points from 9 games played which currently allows them to be on a 5 points distance above the relegation zone. This is not the best they could have done so far, but it’s better than the situation some other teams are in right now.
In the previous league Brighton & Hove enjoyed their second win for the season and it was quite a surprise. Graham Potter’s boys faced Aston Villa at the Villa Park and went home with a 2-1 win. Danny Welbeck and Solomon March scored for the visitors.
Brighton & Hove’s only problem is Tariq Lamptey’s red card against Aston Villa. The right back got sent off in Birmingham, so he won’t be avaliable for the next game.
Despite being rocked by multiple injuries, Liverpool are currently on par with the leader Tottenham – both teams have 20 points won at the top of the league. The Reds won three of their last five matches and they are unbeaten since their shocking defeat against Aston Villa away from home.
During the week Liverpool didn’t do this well, though. Jurgen Klopp’s team faced Atalanta in the Champions League, but the Reds suffered a 0-2 defeat at their own Anfield.
There are many players who are currently absent for the English champions. Virgil van Dijk is out for the season while players like Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez and Thiago are not avaliable as well.
That’s our preview for the Premier League clash between Brighton & Hove Albion and Liverpool at the American Express. Despite having some problems at the moment we believe Liverpool are in a good position to win this match. They are better than the Seagulls, that’s for sure.
